Happy October!

As you can see, our blog has taken on a festive Halloween-y feel in honor of the season "and the crispness of the air" (as put by an unnamed NHSI employee). So in the spirit of the month, let us know what your ideas are for Halloween costumes! We want to hear what clever, creative, and wacky suggestions you have for all the trick-or-treaters (and maybe some of us who are too old to go trick-or-treating but want to dress up anyway) out there.

And check out the new poll question uploaded. It's coming down to the wire in the Presidential election, let us know who you support!

My school does a Halloween themed party called "Come As Your Favorite Dead Person" which has branched out into ideas and things as well. So this year I will be going as Good Cinema dressed as the trademark from Columbia Pictures (the red-haired woman in a toga with a blue sash and a torch in one hand).

We've been talking about having a costume party for the office (even though there are four of us here). I'm definitely going as Ben Braddock, Dustin Hoffman's character from the movie The Graduate. Barbara's #1 costume idea is to go as the Northwestern Arch (I bet she'd get a lot of people confused, thinking she was the St. Louis Arch, the more famous of the two, but we shall see) and her backup idea is to go as a Starbuck's barista. Ruth has decided on perhaps the BEST costume, as she is going as yours truly - Max Holste. Awesome.

I'm probably going as Dr. Horrible from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. http://www.hulu.com/dr-horribles-sing-along-blog
